The Zimbabwe Republic Police in Beitbridge has arrested six cattle rustlers for stealing 41 beasts, this ,following a tip-off from members of the public that led to an ambush by the police on Friday the 25th of July 2025.

The arrest of the daring rustlers and their transporter was confirmed by Superintendent Philisani Ndebele who said the culprits were ambushed and caught with buckets of meat.He added that 39 skulls were recovered after a thorough investigation.

“We were tipped off by the members of the public that there are thieves stealing cattle and selling them to the residents of Beitbridge town. Thanks to their bravery, we managed to intercept the gang. After thorough investigations, we recovered 39 skulls out of the 41 stolen cattle, ”Superintendent Ndebele stated .

The chairman of anti-stock theft neighborhood watch in Beitbridge Pearson Siziba,urged members of the public to desist from buying meat from the streets.

‘We appeal to the members of the community in town to buy meat at the rightful butcheries in order to reduce the chances of buying from thieves.People also have to be vigilant and should report to the police or us and report any suspicious movement of people who might be stealing cattle,

Meanwhile, the ZRP has also reported that 24 goats out of 43 goats that were stolen in Shashe were recovered in Chitulipasi area on Friday again.
