As part of his State visit to China where he will also attend the FOCAC meeting, President Emmerson Mnangagwa has met his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping for a bilateral meeting. Zimbabwe and the People’s Republic of China enjoy cordial relations in both political and economic spheres.
The Asian giant was instrumental in aiding Zimbabwe’s road to independence as it provided training and weapons the liberation movement ZANLA. Post independence, especially after the year 2000, China has stood tall supporting Zimbabwe both economically and politically.
