Professor Jameson Kurasha has passed away at the age of 72 due to renal failure at Parirenyatwa Group of Hospitals in Harare.
His death marks a significant loss for the academic community and the many students he inspired throughout his distinguished career.
Professor Kurasha held various prestigious positions throughout his professional life, most notably serving as the Coordinator for the Higher Degrees Directorate at the University of Zimbabwe.
His dedication to advancing education in the country left an indelible mark on the landscape of higher learning.
His legacy will undoubtedly be cherished by his family, including his two daughters, Flora and Primrose, who survive him.
As news of his passing spreads, mourners have gathered at Number 1 Ascot Road, Avondale in Harare to pay their respects to the esteemed professor.
