South Africa is set to face Zambia in the 2024 Hollywood bet COSAFA Women championship final, to be played in Gqeberha, South Africa after defeating Mozambique in the second semi final of the tournament.
The seven time champions, South Africa held their nerve to defeat Mozambique 4-1 in a penalty shootout to advance to the final after the two teams were tied on a 1-1 at full time. Zambia effortless cruised over the Hollywood bet COSAFA Women defending champions Malawi with a 2-0 goal margin on to secure their third successive final appearance in this competition.
The head to head count between the two teams gives South Africa the edge over their Southern African rivals.Banyana Banyana and Zambia have faced each other 12 times before, the former has 7 wins while the latter just has a single to the name , the other four games were drawn.
Both teams had are in good scoring form whilst conceding less at the tournament.
Most importantly South Africa will be playing on home soil and also fighting to clinch their 8th title whilst Zambia will be hoping to win their second title.
