The South African Development Community and the East Africa Community leaders have are set to meet in Tanzania as the two regional blocs seel to find a solution to the conflict in DRC which is threatening to spiral out of control.
The leaders aim to address the ongoing conflict in the Eastern part of the DR Congo between the M23 rebels group and the DR Congo government.
The planned meeting comes up after 14 South African soldiers were recently killed in Goma.
According SABC, the M23 movement which has been at the centre of the conflict in the central African country announced a cease fire ahead the EAC and SADC planned meeting which aims to de-escalate tensions and find a solution.
Rwandan President Kagame, South Africa ‘s Ramaphosa, Ugandan Museveni and DR Congo ‘s Tshisekedi will likely meet for the first sincr the conflict escalated with the killing of South African troops.
All the leaders are main protagonist in the main set up.
