Beitbridge businessman Felix Venge, known as SAMAS, has donated a set of football kit to the Beitbridge Municipality workers’ team on June 17, 2026.
The kit Is set to help the team as they engage in their wellness programme after work.
Speaking at the event, Venge said, “I’m happy to offer a helping hand to our municipality team, as a stakeholder and as a businessman.”
The Municipality of Beitbridge was given black Adidas jerseys by the business tycoon.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Douglas Siphuma, the Municipality Engineer, who was also the acting town clerk at the event, expressed gratitude towards SAMAS.
“I would like to thank Mr Venge for his support and donation to us. I hope these jerseys will help our team look uniform when engaging in our wellness programme activities,” Siphuma said.
Siphuma also said the wellness programme is done to relieve stress and keep council workers fit and healthy.
All municipality workers, male and female, participate in the wellness programme across various fields such as netball, basket ball and soccer as a way to keep them motivated and enhance cohesion among co-workers.
