SOCCER star and Zimbabwe Warriors forward Tino Kadewere has reportedly sparked controversy during a training session at Orlando Stadium, South Africa, where he allegedly confronted journalistYvonne Mangunda in disagreement with some of her reports.

According to Zimsports flash the incident which occurred ahead of Zimbabwe’s FIFA World Cup Qualifier against Rwanda, led to the temporary adjournment of the training session.

He is reported to have later apologised saying he had reacted emotionally.

Kadewere reportedly poked and threatened Mangunda, accusing her of posting negative content about him on Facebook.

“Despite heated scenes and verbal threats, he later apologized, acknowledging that he had acted out of emotion and anger,” wrote Zimsports.

Warriors team manager Clemence Matawu also issued an apology on behalf of the team, stating the matter was being addressed internally.

Kadewere,  a striker, plies his trade in the Greek league and has features in the Zimbabwe squad for several years.

He has been in and out of the national team and at one time said head retired from national duty.

His spat with Mangunda raises questions about player conduct and media relations in national team camps — especially with crucial qualifiers underway.
