THE Bridge Legacy drama is set to launch its official trailer at a premiere and fundraising event scheduled for November 28, 2026, at Ambassadors Christian Fellowship Church in Beitbridge.
Located at Mashakada, opposite Amstec Surgery, the event will begin at 1800hrs, with the red carpet session marking the start of the evening.
The Bridge Legacy is more than just a drama series, as it seeks to tell a story of hope, healing and heritage while promoting unity among Beitbridge’s diverse communities.
The production aims to bridge the language and cultural differences among Shona, Vhavenda and Ndebele-speaking communities through a storyline featuring a diverse cast.
With Beitbridge having experienced a prolonged period of limited film production, the series is expected to contribute to the revival of the local film industry and create opportunities for local talent.
The production also seeks to put Beitbridge on the national film map by showcasing the town’s culture and stories.
However, the project continues to face financial constraints associated with producing a high-quality drama series.
Speaking to Ziyah News Network, film producer Shimron Sibanda said the production believed in the potential of local storytelling.
“We believe if Beitbridge supports its own stories, creation of something inspiring Zimbabwe is possible as actors have shown great potential,” said Sibanda.
He appealed to residents to support the upcoming launch and fundraising event.
“As the Fundraising approaches, we appeal for massive support.”
“We hope with the love that you have always shown on our previous productions, Beitbridge will come in huge numbers for the launch,” he said.
As the premiere date approaches, The Bridge Legacy is positioning itself as an opportunity to showcase Beitbridge’s cultural diversity, strengthen local representation and contribute to the growth of the town’s film industry.
