Vhembe Stars Academy has been knocked out of the Central Region Soccer league preseason division 2 tournament at the group stage phases.
The CRSL D2 debutants, Vhembe kicked off their campaign with a 1-1 draw against Limpopo FC before suffering a 2-0 loss to Rank FC in their next match. However, Vhembe bounced back with a narrow 1-0 win over BBJ FC in their third match.
Vhembe Stars finished 3rd with 4 points, behind Rank FC who had 6 points and Limpopo FC with 7 points while BBJ FC finished with 0 points.
Meanwhile Limpopo FC and Rank FC will proceed to the quarterfinals. Additional Rank FC will face Nottingham FC while Limpopo FC will battle against Galacticos FC in their quarterfinals.
Vhembe Stars Academy will now be preparing for the league fixture as they are now out of the tournament.
