The Zambian women’s team secured a convincing 3-0 victory against Angola in the Hollywood Bet COSAFA 2024 tournament.

In 2022, Zambia won the COSAFA championship; however, in 2023, they attempted to defend their title but finished as runners-up after a 2-1 defeat to the current champions, Malawi.

In the ongoing 2024 championship, Zambia has started to show positive performances, winning their opening group stage match against Angola.

Oseka opened the scoring with a beautiful goal within the first 30 minutes of the match. Lungowe Namasiku followed up with a second goal just after halftime, scoring in the 47th minute, and finally, Regina Chanda found the back of the net for the third goal in the 72nd minute.

The Zambian side approached their group stage match with determination, sealing their victory in the 2024 championship.

Meanwhile, Zimbabwe’s Mighty Warriors are set to battle Mozambique in their opening match of the COSAFA group stages in Mzansi.
