The Zimbabwe Parks and Wildlife Management Authority (ZimParks) has officially addressed recent concerns from visitors regarding the deteriorating condition of its tourism facilities acknowledging feedback that highlighted specific failures at Hwange National Park.
In a press statement issued November 13, 2025, ZimParks said it takes all feedback seriously and is currently engaging internal teams and partners to address the issues.
The statement followed a wave of grievances from overlanding tourists’ detail of neglected facilities at Hwange’s Main Camp.
They complained about poor ablution plumbing, removed wall tiles , non functional solar installations resulting in lack of hot water and poor road conditions within the park.
Tami Mudzingwa, ZimParks Acting Public Relations Manager, confirmed the authority was investigating the issues.
