Harare– Acting President Constantino Chiwenga will preside over the burial of the late Brigadier General (Rtd) Shadreck Dingaan Ndabambi who died on the 28th of August 2024.
The Acting President is presiding over the ceremony to bury his former army colleague as his Principal, President Emmerson Mnangagwa is currently on a state visit to China.
The burial program was announced by the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage.
“The Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage wishes to advise the Nation that the Late National Hero, Brigadier General (Rtd) Shadreck Dingaan Ndabambi who died on 28 August 2024 will be laid to rest at the National Heroes Acre, on Wednesday 4 September 2024.”
Gates at the National Heroes acre are expected to have been opened by 6:00am with mourners instructed to be seated by 07:00 am
A military parade for the late hero will be held at Charles Magama barracks after which the body will be airlifted to his farm, Plot No 7 Virginia Farm, Glendale, Mazowe district in Mashonaland Central Province where it will lie in state ahead of the burial ceremony at the National Heroes Acre.
