Egypt-CAF Beach Soccer African Cup of Nations reigning champions, Senegal secured their first victory of the tournament snapping Malawi 6.-1 on match day 2 in Egypt.
Following their 5-2 loss against the debutants Mauritania who made a historical start sending shockwave’s across the continent with a dominant display over the Lion of Teranga.
After securing their first victory on match day 2, the lions of Teranga moved into third position behind the debutants Mauritania by goal difference and 1 point behind group B leaders the Os Mambas of Mozambique.
The four times reigning champions, Lions of Teranga‘s last match will be up against Os Mambas on Tuesday ,22 October in what promises the continent to be a crucial awaited encounter between the two giants .Lions of Teranga’s slip away might be the end of the road but the group is still open.
In the other groups, with the backing of their home crowd, the Egyptians earned their second victory cruising over Tanzania .The Pharaohs ‘s 9-3 victory against Tanzania subsequently ensured a knockout stage spot in the tournament
Meanwhile the Atlas lions of Morocco from Africa’s northernmost tip made it two wins in a row after defeating Ghana5.2 .With such performance Morocco seems to be positive to chase their first tittle in history of BS AFCON.
