The Beitbridge annual Mayor’s half marathon, the town’s premier athletics competition is on this Saturday with four separate distance races on the cards catering for school children, veterans and even the disabled.

Themed ‘Running against litter’, the race will have two routed 5km races, a 10km and 21km one and is attracting athletes from various categories including wheelchair athletes, cyclists, juniors, seniors, veterans, masters, and grandmasters. Registration is still open for individuals aged 16 and above at the Municipality of Beitbridge PR office at US$5 or equivalent in local currency

The Beitbridge Mayor’s Half Marathon has become a highly anticipated annual event, promoting athleticism and community engagement. This year’s edition promises to be an exciting experience for participants and spectators alike. An after party for the event is also set to be hosted at Terrys and Hustlers.
