The Tredgold Regional Court in Bulawayo has convicted two Cabangani Zulu and Lucky Zulu , following a violent assault were the four brutally attacked Abednico Maposa (65) over property dispute which occurred on the 9th of February 2025 in the Swart Village.
However the court released tow other alleged accomplice whereas the Zulu duo were sentenced to 24 months imprisonment of which 6 months were suspended and an additional 18 months were suspended on the condition that they complete 630 hours of community service.
According to the National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe, Maphosa was brutally attacked by four relatives over a property dispute.
The victim was alleged assaulted with stones by his wife and three brothers-in -law, who demanded a fridge and other belongings.
The NPZ also stated that the gang left him unconscious with head and body injuries before being rescued by villagers and rushed to Inyathi Hospital.
The NPAZ has encouraged members of the public to resolve disputes through lawful means or seek third party dispute.
