THE Municipality of Beitbridge will exhibit at the Tshitaudze Heritage Festival where officials will share information on the investment opportunities in the border town.
The public relations and administration of MoB will maintain full presence at the show where visitors will interact with our staff. They will share information on commercial, industrial and private, public partnerships promoted by Government as the new development and investment strategies.
“We feel we are a huge and integral part of the Tshitaudze Heritage Festival and are in full support of this grand expo. Beitbridge Municipality is part of the culture in the modern times. When you talk about Beitbridge you are talking of a region of diverse rich culture which we are part,” Town Clerk Loud Ramakgapola said.
“We will have our public relations department present at the inaugural festival and we should live with it for as long as it is in our midst. We want to congratulate Chief Tshitaudze for the brilliant idea which makes us be counted as a town in a community, a town in this beautiful heritage,” he said.
Beitbridge town, the busiest port in the Sun-Saharan region sits at the centre of the Venda area and community and has several streets, suburbs and features with Venda names.
Incidentally the township of Beitbridge is called Dulivhadzimu and has more 12 000 properties holding the bulk of the town’s estimated 60 000 people.
Several streets including Makhavhane, Luvhidi, Mapholovhele, Tshakhuma and Siphuma are some of the famous local names snynonymous with Beitbridge town.
Some of the information MoB will share includes the availability of the town’s stands in the industrial, commercial annd residential sectors.
“We have serious cattle farmers in the rural areas of Beitbridge and they can have houses or other properties in Beitbridge town as a form of investment. Some can build shops and the more adventurous can invest in our growing commercial and industrial sectors,” he said.
Ramakgapola said MoB will also market the Dulivhadzimu Gorge and Pool as a heritage site of Beitbridge.
“Our heritage has modern features like the Beit Bridge, the Beitbridge Railway Station which is a huge hub which can become very active as Zimbabwe moves towards reviving the railway transport. We have a brilliant river front of the Limpopo, an important heritage site for those who love nature. We will show people these features and what investments these site can attract,” he said.
Vice President Kembo Mohadi will give the keynote adress at festival where several Matabe,eland South provincial executives are expected.
