THE Beitbridge teams Vhembe Stars Academy and Dulibadzimu United, both lost their Match Day 14 fixtures in the Central Region Soccer League Division One on Wednesday.
Vhembe Stars Academy suffered an agonising narrow 1-0 defeat to West Nicholson at Dulibadzimu Stadium, while Dulibadzimu United suffered a 3-0 defeat to Grain Tigers away from home at Kwekwe.
Following an intense Beitbridge derby against Dulibadzimu United, which ended in a cotroversial 2-2, a 3-1 defeat to Superstrikers, and a 2-1 defeat to Blanket Mine FC, Vhembe Stars Academy continues to drop points after suffering a 1-0 loss at home in a crucial fixture against West Nicholson.
Vhembe Stars Academy remains on 11 points from 14 matches, 2 points behind Dulibadzimu United.
Dulibadzimu United failed to rediscover their winning rhythm away from home and remain in 13th position with 13 points after 14 matches.
The Beitbridge outfits are struggling to find consistency and score goals.
Coach Rutherford Matondo suffered his first defeat in his second game since returning to the Beitbridge outfit.
Elsewhere, Kwekwe United secured a 2-0 win against FC Platinum U19, while Blanket Mine continued their impressive run with a 2-1 victory against ZRP Gwanda.
Sabi Gold Mine and Shabanie Mine shared the spoils after a 1-1 draw.
The Central Region Soccer League Division One continues to take shape, with Blanket Mine, West Nicholson, and Chapungu FC improving and showing consistency in front of goal.
