A Zimbabwean man is at the World Cup in Mexico, and is also taking part in the games his countrymen can only dream about at the moment!
Tinashe Mukandatsama is a match analyst for South Africa’s Bafana Bafana, re male soccer national team.
His proud father Reverend Mkandatsama contacted Ziyah News Network and said Tinashe, who grew up in Beitbridge, was indeed at the World Cup, and taking part.
“He is in the technical department as a match analyst. The SA coach drafted him into the department,” said Mkandatsama.

Mukandatsama, currently part of the Mamelodi Sundowns technical department, has earned recognition for his high-level video analysis, opposition profiling and data-driven performance insights.
His skillset has made him one of the most promising young analysts in the region.
Born and raised in Zimbabwe, Mukandatsama later moved to South Africa to sharpen his expertise in sports science and performance analysis.
His career gained momentum when he joined the technical setup of the South Africa Under-20 national team, contributing to their Africa U20 Championship triumph before travelling with the squad to the FIFA Under-20 World Cup.
He later was included in Bafana Bafana’s AFCON technical team giving an opportunity to showcase his analytical abilities on one of Africa’s biggest football stages.
Since that appointment he has remained part of the squad’s technical side and is celebrating his team Mamelodi Sundowns recent success on the continent winning the champions league.
