IT’S getting thicker.
And more like a real derby! All battle lines have been drawn and its all systems go for Beitbridge football fans.
Vhembe Stars Academy President Loadwell Ziyadumah has descended into the arena and pledged R100 000 for his players if they beat Dulibadzimu United in Saturday’s derby.
This is a first, and perhaps the highest ever reward for a derby in Beitbridge.
“There is that money on the table for their win over Duliz, they will walk away R100 000 richer if they bag the three points,” said Ziyadumah.
Dulis are at home in Beitbridge’s theatre of soccer dreams come Saturday when the teams square up.
Dubbed the Battle Of The Limpopo River, the match is already promising fireworks.
A resurgent Dulis would obviously want to dismiss “new kids on the block” Vhembe Stars, debutants into the Zifa Central Region Division One League.
Both teams have frankly been disappointing but fans hope a match between them will make them rediscover themselves before the second part of the league.
Dulis have been reluctant to talk to Ziyah News Network accusing the Media House of unproven bias.
But word has it they are taking the game with the demanded seriousness.
