THE Beitbridge West cluster two-day athletics competition kicked off at Zezani High School on Thursday running until Friday.
Zezani High School confirmed the start of the competitions for the BB West cluster.
“Beyond the classroom, greatness is measured on the track. Zezani High School proudly welcomes all schools for the Beitbridge-West Cluster Athletics Competitions today and Friday. Come and experience the thrill, the passion, and champions in the making,” Zezani High School said.
The Beitbridge West cluster includes the host Zezani High School, Siyoka Secondary School, Malikuwa, and Kwalu Secondary School.
Zezani High School has been dominating the Beitbridge West cluster for the past years, producing athletes who have participated at national level and a few at regional and international stages.
Between 2015 and 2019, young talents such as Bekithemba Siziba, Bennis Tlou, Rendani Tshiṱaudze, Lemuang Muleya, and Percival Ndou had talent to compete at provincial and national stages.
In 2025, Derrick Matutu and Tinotenda Kayereka took Zezani High School to international heights by representing Zimbabwe.
Meanwhile, the Beitbridge Central cluster competition is also underway at Vhembe High School with schools such as St Mary’s, Fountain, Chamnanga and St Joseph competing.
After the clusters fixtures are completed, the four Beitbridge clusters will face each other in the district competition to select a team that will represent Beitbridge in the provincial competitions.
