Five time world cup champions Brazil’s world cup hopes are hanging by thread as they prepare to battle against Chile and Peru without their key players sidelined by injuries.
In the current 2026 world cup qualifiers, the five time champions are at risk of losing their record of being the only nation to ever contest in all 22 World cup editions since 1930. The South America soccer powerhouse find themselves in unfamiliar territory following a series of poor performances which have left them occupying position 5 in the South American Qualifiers.
They are ahead of Venezuela on goal difference whilst just a point of Paraguay and Bolivia occupying position 7 and 8 and with inconsistence fans of the Selecao to be worried.
Brazil have lost four their last five games
The Brazilians will play against Chile and Peru without key players such Neymar, Vinicius JR,Eder Militao and Allison who are ruled out by injuries which could be a huge blow , yet another poor results display could leave them out of the qualification for the first time in history of the World cup.
Brazil has been inconsistent since the departure of Coach Adenor Leonardo Barchi after a penalty shootout against Croatia in World Cup Qatar.
Back in African football, Namibia and Zimbabwe readies to battle for the Morocco 2025 AFCON qualification at Orlando Stadium in Johannesburg in South Africa this afternoon.
The Warriors are looking to revive and secure a better position for the qualification and a win will certainly help them do that.
