ARMED robbers in the dead of last night struck at Chicago Village officially known as Chamnanga Business Centre where a man was shot and others were assaulted and stripped of cash and valuables.
A villager told Ziyah News Network that injured people had been taken to hospital following the incident where some gunshots were heard.
“We at the house of one who was shot, another was assaulted but there are no deaths,” said the villager.
The suspected armed robbers raided at least three homesteads including one where a villager has stakes of bricks a hundred metres away from the business centre along the road to Chamnanga Primary School.
No official comment has been obtained from the police but sources close to investigations said a report was made last night…More to follow.
