THE Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has taken action against its team of traffic policemen captured assaulting a motorist.

In an interview with Ziyah News Network (ZNN) on Thursday national police spokesman Senior Commissioner Paul Nyathi said the team had been dealt with.

He did not mention the specific action.

“We have taken action on those Budiriro traffic police officers. We saw the footage and relevant action was taken,” Nyathi said without specifying.

In the video most probably captured by other motorists three police officers attack a defenseless man with the woman officer the most aggressive.

The police officers who appear to be using their car on official duty, jump off an Isuzu pick up and immediately swam the man offering no resistance.

As the male officers hold tight the hands of the man the female officer appearing the bulkier of the three arrives with a clap ready and slams hard the man.

The male officers shove the man backwards as the woman rains claps on the helpless subdued man.

The aggressive female cop the reaches for the man’s groin in a futile attempt to tip him over but her body betrays her against the fitter victim.

The video ends with the man appearing handcuffed but the police realise a little too late they were being filmed and try to scurry for cover.

Meanwhile Nyathi said thy are attending to a video of a girl in a Beitbridge school uniform filmed beating another defenseless girl who is seated and not retaliating.

“We will look at the video and see the necessary action,” said Nyathi.

In the video a girl attacks another accusing her of spreading a rumour about her.

The girl is clapped about three times while others cheer.
