The road to the continental club glory continues as the CAF Champions league is set to kick off today, with new and old rivalries vying for the African club glory.

CAF Champions League defending champions Al Ahly are set to battle against Al Hilal in Cairo at 21:00 hours, while Algerian side MC Algiers will face 1995 champions, Orlando Pirates.

2016 champions Mamelodi Sundowns will battle against the Tunisian side Esperance at 1500hours before Pyramids and FAR Rabat lock horns at 9pm.

Meanwhile, the much anticipated CAF Confederation Cup will kick off tomorrow, featuring a classic battle between experience and ambition as debutants Stellenboush FC host the Egyptian giants Zamalek SC in Cape Town stadium .

Following their 2024 triumph, Zamalek will be looking forward to win and defend their title while Stellenboush will be vying to make history in their first ever quarter final appearance.

Ivory Coast ‘s Asec Mimosas will battle against Morocco ‘s RS Berkane while Algeria will host a thrilling domestic derby between Cs Constantine and US Alger.

Tanzania’s Simba FC will battle the 2018 semi finalist Al Masry SC. Backed by the home crowd, Al Masry will have an edge in this fixture.

The return legs of the CAF Champions league and Confederation Cup quarter finals will be played in the coming week, with aggregate winners set to proceed to the semi finals.
