Zimbabwean International and Magesi shortstoper Elvis Chipezeze has been crowned the Carling Knockout player of the tournament.
Chipezeze who is the Magesi skipper earned the prize after displaying remarkable performance throughout the tournament, earning R400,000 in man of the match fees during this tournament.
Magesi produced one of the biggest shocks in South African football history when they beat Mamelodi Sundowns 2-1 in the Carling Knockout Cup final, with Chipezeze being pivotal with his man of the match saves.
Elsewhere, Mamelodi Sundowns ‘Lucas Rebeiro emerged as the biggest winner at the PSL awards.
The Mamelodi Sundowns attacker walked away with the Betway Premiership Players’ Player of the Season, Goal of the Season, and league’ top goal scorer awards.
Orlando Pirates starlet Relebohile Mofokeng capped off a memorable campaign, scooping both the Premiership Young Player of the Season and the MTN8 Last Man Standing awards.
