“I am in the Women’s Quarter and I represent women and the girl child. I was crowned Miss Beitbridge in 2002, and I was honored to serve as a guest of honor at this year’s event. Seeing the dedication of these young girls truly moved me, and I felt compelled to give back to encourage their confidence and resilience,” she said,
The pageant featured six girls as part of a women empowerment initiative. Maworere also highlighted her ongoing relationship with the event’s organizer, Mr. Christen Ncube, whom she taught at Beitbridge Government Primary School approximately 15 years ago during his early education.
