Former Kaizer chiefs head coach and legend Arthur ‘10111’ Zwane has landed into a new coaching adventure at Amazulu football club alongside Vusumuzi Vilakazi as joint head coaches.

The duo replaces Pablo Franco Martin who has been sacked following a poor start to the season which has seen Amazulu going for three games without a single victory in the new Betway Premiership season.

Usuthu are currently anchoring the bottom spot, due to the coaching and football experience, Zwane and Vilakazi are expected to secure a better position for the club.

Zwane was currently the senior academy coach at Amakhosi after being demoted as the head coach of the team after an unsuccessful season and half. Meanwhile Vilakazi was the relegation saviour for Richards Bay last season.

The duo is likely to face pressure regarding their first two matches against the current MTN 8 finalist in a row who are fearless and yet to be defeated in their league encounter.

Co-coaching was first introduced to the Premier Soccer League when Kaizer Chiefs appointed the coaching duo of Doctor Khumalo and Ace Khuse after sacking Muhsin Ertugral. Mamelodi Sundowns then followed suit appointing Neil Tovey and Miguel Gumondy, who went on to win the league title, Usuthu and their fans can replicate the successful working relationship of the former.

Zwane and Vilakazi will get their first test when the  Durban based club battles against Stellenbosch FC in the Carling Knockout Cup at home before crossing swords with the untouchable 2024 MTN 8 champion Orlando Pirates.
