Dulibadzimu Stadium in the heart of Beitbridge produced the surprise result of the latest round of matches in the Ruvimbo Funeral Central Region Soccer League as the high riding Dulibadzimu United received a rude awakening from FC Platinum U19 who mauled them by 3-1, subsequently tumbling from the 2nd position to occupy fourth.

Dulibadzimu United had been invincible at home and it took the pure platinum play from Zvishavane to inflict their first loss of the season as the Beitbridge outfit visibly struggled to cope with slick and neat passing of the platinum miners.

With the usually reliable Roki Munyaradzi absent, the Duliz defence looked shaky and had no answers for the marauding youngsters from Zvishavane. A goal in the first half and two more unanswered ones in the second stanza was enough to condemn Dulibadzimu United to their first defeat at home.

Kwekwe United took advantage of the top two teams going into this past weekend’s dropping points and leapfrogged them to occupy top spot for the first time this season. The Kwekwe outfit is tied on 29 points with army side Tongogara who dropped two crucial points in a nil all draw with Wangu Mazodze City.

Elsewhere airmen Chapungu hammered a hapless MSU to keep in touching distance with the leading pack. Another title contender, Sheasham, the Construction boys made a statement by hammering Shabanie by 3-0 at Maglas Stadium the Shabanie mine home turf.
