DULIBADZIMU United will revive their rivalry with Gwanda Pirates they date on Sunday, February 8, 2026, as part of their preparation for the 2026 season in the Central Region Soccer League Division One.

Gwanda Pirates FC and Dulibadzimu United have confirmed the news about their preseason match, set to be played in Gwanda.

Dulibadzimu United and Pirates will use the preseason matches to build cohesion, integrate their new signings and lay the groundwork for what promises to be another demanding campaign.

Speaking to Ziyah News Network, Dulibadzimu United’s outgoing Vice Chairman, Rex Mphisa, said, “It is a training encounter that will show how we will fare in our oncoming season. Dulibadzimu United is a brand itself, which is why teams invite us because they know the team is quality”.

On the roadmap for the 2026 season, Mphisa added, “We’re still on preparatory stages; a lot is still happening in the background, and we’re preparing to have a better season than the last season”.

The two clubs are both preparing for the 2026 season as they vie for Premier Soccer League promotion.

Johhanes Ngodzo, who is at the helm of Gwanda Pirates, once said he looks to secure the Central Region Soccer League Division One championship following his team’s third-place finish in the 2025 season.

In their league encounters, Gwanda Pirates have walked away with victories both home and away against Dulibadzimu United.

Meanwhile, Gwanda Pirates FC will face Premier Soccer League debutants Hard Rock FC and returnees Bulawayo Chiefs in their next fixture as part of their preparation for the 2026 season.
