Dulibadzimu United suffered a 2-1 defeat at home against FC Platinum Under-19 in a ZIFA Central Region Division One match played on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Dulibadzimu Stadium.
The home side started the match strongly and took the lead within the first 20 minutes.
The opening goal was scored by Player of the Month, Pumutso Ncube, who delivered a clinical finish after receiving a well-timed chest pass from Mike Nezungai.
But just four minutes later, FC Platinum equalised.
Dulibadzimu goalkeeper Tony Saunyama was pushed while attempting to clear the ball, and the away side capitalised to score and level the match.
Despite protests from Dulibadzimu players, the referee allowed the goal to stand.
Dulibadzimu United were the better side in the first part but as usual their strikers failed to find the nets.
In the second half they struggled to regain lead but kept firing blanks.
And in the 80th minute, FC Platinum U19 were awarded a penalty after Saunyama fouled one of their strikers inside the box.
Karimbo Loid stepped up and converted the spot kick, giving the visitors a 2-1 lead and sealing the collection of all three points.
Speaking after the match, Dulibadzimu United team manager Fednard “Mashefu” Matete expressed disappointment.
“The game was fair, but we are making schoolboy blunders. The boys need to start playing for the badge, the supporters, and themselves. We can’t keep losing points because of silly mistakes.”
The loss is a setback for Dulibadzimu United, who will now look to bounce back in their next fixture.
