Beitbridge East, Matebeleland South – The Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution in Mat South who is also the MP for Beitbridge East urged people in his constituency to play their part in building the nation.

He was peaking as he continued his constituency development Initiative where is is handing out chickens to all wards in his area. Guided by his philosophy that development begins from the bottom, he distributed road runner chickens to Ward 5 residents of Chapfuce, Shabwe and Langeni.

Nguluvhe urged community members to register to vote and access future resources, emphasizing that government efforts will become more visible once people are registered and engaged.

“We are not marginalized, Everyone has a role in building our nation. Once you register your ID and voter’s card, you open the door to government support and development funds. Your participation makes a difference,” he stated.

This initiative by Honourable Nguluvhe aims to enhance household incomes, improve food security, and promote sustainable growth in the area. Nguluvhe’s focus on empowering war veterans, youth, schools, and village leaders underscores his bottom-up approach to development.

As part of his two-year plan, Nguluvhe is distributing between 800 and 1,000 chickens to each ward across the district, and the events in Chapfuce, Shabwe, and Langeni are part of the initiative.

These initiatives are aligned with Zimbabwe’s national objective of transforming into an upper middle-income economy by 2030.

He also called on local councillors to collaborate closely with village heads to identify community needs and ensure effective implementation of development projects.

“Councillors and village heads must serve the people with dedication,” he said. “Working together, we can bring real change to our communities.”

Addressing the youth, Nguluvhe warned against drug abuse, cautioning that substance misuse undermines their potential as future leaders.

“Young people, stay away from drugs. They only lead to crime and livestock theft from our elders, which destroys community harmony,” he warned.

He further appealed to parents to prioritize education and discourage child marriages.

“Let our children go to school and become the leaders of tomorrow,” he urged.

As the government continues to roll out developmental initiatives across rural Zimbabwe, Nguluvhe’s efforts in Beitbridge East symbolize a commitment to inclusive growth and community empowerment, ensuring that no one is left behind in the journey towards Vision 2030.
