A tragic fatal road accident has claimed the lives of two bystanders on the Harare-Bulawayo highway, the police have confirmed.
The unfortunate incident occurred at approximately 10:30 hours on the fourth of May at the the 197km peg of the Harare-Bulawayo road.
“Two men were killed when a Subaru vehicle with one passenger on board veered off the road to the left side and hit the victims who were standing by the road side,the vehicle, which had one passenger on board, further swerved to the left and collided with a tree before coming to a stop, indicated th police statement on the incident.
The victims were rushed to Kwekwe District Hospital, where they succumbed to their injuries.
This incident highlights the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving. Recently, another fatal accident occurred on the same route, underscoring the need for caution as many of the accidents are attributed to human error.
