The Premier Soccer League has announced the departure of its long serving servants Chairman Farai Jere and his vice Lifa Ncube following the expiration of their terms.
The duo were appointed in these roles in 2018.
In a statement, PSL confirmed that Chairman Hon Jere and Vice chairman Lifa Ncube have stepped down from their positions.
“The Premier Soccer League wishes to inform all stakeholders that a following resolution by the Board of Governors during an extraordinary General meeting held on 19 December 2024,the PSL Chairman Hon Fadzai Jere and vice chairman Lifa Ncube have stepped down from their respective positions. This follows the expiration of their terms of office on 31 December 2024… ,” PSL statement reads.
The PSL also stated that the Board of Governor have entrusted the remaining PSL emergency committee, Messrs Masimba Chihowa,Moses Maunganidze and Isaiah Mupfurutsa to responsibly run the league ‘s affairs.
What football funds might find intriguing is that the departure of Hon Jere and Vice chairman Ncube comes after PSL received the resignation of their CEO Kennedy Ndebele. It also coincides with Dynamos FC parting ways with their chief executive officer Jonathan Mashingaidze.
