Rhumba crooner Juntal, has sent out an SOS to fellow Zimbabweans to assist him recover his car lost to an acquaintance his, Panashe Munetsi.
Speaking in an interview with Ziyah News Network, the musician, real name Farai Serima alleges he was conned of his car by Munetsi who misrepresented that he could facilitate a swap and top deal. The incident happened yesterday and the matter is now in the hands of the police.
“He is a friend from way back , three days ago, he showed up at my house claiming he had a breakdown and needed a place to sleep. He ended staying for three days and as someone whom I knew from way back , I found it difficult to ask him what was up with him,” said Juntal.
While Munetsi was lying about being in distress, he was busy hatching a plan to snatch Juntal’s car.
“He told me he knew someone who has better knowledge of cars and could facilitate a swap and top deal, I trusted him with my car keys to go and pick it upfrom town to show the person whom I wanted to do the deal with, he diverted the route and disappeared, I also discovered he had taken the vehicle’s registration book.”
The Mutupo hitmaker is appealing to Zimbabweans to help him recover his purple Mazda CX7 vehicle with vehicle personalized registration name, 01 GONDO, saying the ordeal has greatly affected him as a musician.
“Brothers and sisters, if you see this car anywhere , I am kindly asking you to report to the nearest police station.This has affected my business,my studio sessions,my personal life,family and the way I perceive , trust and love the people around me,” he added.
