The Beitbridge Magistrates’ Court has sentenced 33-year-old Siphelile Kufa to 30 months in prison for unlawful possession of dangerous drugs.
The National Prosecuting Authority states that Kufa was arrested after detectives found 6.26kg of dagga hidden in her bag during a search at Masvingo Turn-off in Beitbridge.
The seized dagga has a street value of US$626. Kufa’s arrest and conviction serve as a warning against drug possession and trafficking.
The National Prosecuting Authority of Zimbabwe (NPAZ) urges the public to report any suspicious activities.
