A 26 year old Kwekwe man has been remanded in custody after allegedly stabbing his 25-year-old wife three times with a kitchen knife during a domestic dispute. The incident occurred at their home in Mbizo, Kwekwe.
According to police reports, the accused, who was reportedly intoxicated, returned home and fell asleep outside in the yard.
When the wife attempted to wake him up, he allegedly became aggressive, entered the house shouting at her, and charged towards her with a kitchen knife.
He then stabbed her twice on the right leg and once on the buttocks, causing deep cuts.
The accused appeared in court for initial remand and was remanded in custody to 7 March 2025 for plea recording.
