Just a week after announcing their separation, actress Khanyi Mbau has revealed she’s back together with her long-time partner, businessman Kudzai Mushonga.
The news comes as a surprise to fans, given Mbau’s recent social media post confirming the end of their five-year relationship.
Following the initial breakup announcement, Mushonga, a Zimbabwean business mogul, had also shared a cryptic post, leaving many to speculate on the situation. However, the couple has now reconciled.
According to Mbau, the reconciliation followed a conversation where Kudzai expressed a desire to address any issues that contributed to the split.
“He called, demanded I address the bad things he did, he asked to attend the funeral that made me mourn I cried.. he listened.. now I am in the car he sent headed home,” she shared on social media.
In a candid message to her followers, Mbau asked for understanding regarding her decision, citing her tattoo of Kudzai’s name as a factor.
“Don’t ask!! he didn’t entertain my rubbish. We are adults!!! ( listen don’t judge) Besides where would I go with a thigh laminated in bold with his name!” she wrote.
This isn’t the first instance of a dramatic back-and-forth in their relationship.
Previously, Kudzai famously went live on Instagram, visibly upset, and pleaded with Mbau to return to Dubai. She did, and their relationship continued.
