A Delta Airlines plane flipped over while landing at Toronto’s Pearson Airport in Canada,injuring 19 people but causing no death. Fortunately  most passengers were reported to be unharmed in the incident.

The plane, which was arriving from Minneapolis, ended up on its roof on the snowy tarmac.

Emergency personnel responded quickly to the scene, and all passengers and crew were accounted for.

The incident occurred during a winter storm that hit Toronto over the weekend, with blowing snow and winds gusting up to 40 mph.

 The plane, a Mitsubishi CRJ-900LR, is a proven aircraft that has been in service for decades and is designed to handle inclement weather. An investigation into the cause of the incident is underway.

The incident is the latest in a series of major aviation mishaps in North America in recent weeks.

The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is leading the investigation, with assistance from US investigators.

 The airport suspended all flights following the incident, and emergency teams are working to respond to the situation
