ZIFA president Nqobile Magwizi has said the circus rocking the Central Region Division One League is being monitored and will be resolved soon.

He was responding to a question on what his organisation is doing to bring under check activities by its affiliate, Central Region administering Division 1 League.

“Procedure must always be followed – we have statutes that govern our football. Complaints must be filed in accordance to the provisions of the statutes and followed through.
These problems will be fixed,” said Magwizi.

“We are addressing the matter,” he said in regards to the pulling out of Sheasham FC which left the league last week citing an uneven playing field.

Sheasham based in Gweru said several issues they reported had not been addressed which included poor officiating and decisions by the administration of the league.

Shesham who were top of the league from the beginning of he season were dislodge by Hardrock of Kwekwe who joined the league this year.

But Sheasham believe there were some influences in certain match results and these were fixed against the Bata based side.

In an address to the Press on Monday Sheasham Chairman Reginald Chidawanyika made bold accusations against Hardrock they believe were bankrolling match outcomes.

“We have evidence that Hardrock game against Gokwe North where they won 13 nil was manipulated,” said Chidawanyika in a press conference broadcast live.

He also complained about poor officiating in their match against Midlands State University where they were denied what appeared two genuine goals while the hosts had three penalties awarded within 13 minutes.

The administration of the Central Region has been in charge for more than 12 years and most followers of their league believe they are tired.

Serious questions have been asked about how they handled the issue of Ephanny Gwavava, a 25 year old player from Dynamos loaned to Dulibadzimu United, whose names and details they changed to register him as a developer.opment player.

Gwavava was discovered in the Hardrock game against ZRP played in Gwanda where some players and officials knew him.

The Central Region has not made a ruling on the game which Hardrock won and Gwavava under a new name played 90 minutes.
