AWARD -winning South African artist with a strong Beitbridge and Zimbabwean connection Ndivhudzannyi Ralivhona popularly known as Makhadzi has been injured in an accident.

A statement from her office said she was on her way to Johannesburg from Limpopo Province when she was involved in an accident.

“Makhadzi Entertainment confirms that award-winning artist Makhadzi was involved in a car accident while traveling from Limpopo to Johannesburg on the morning of 31 December,” said the statement.

“She is currently receiving medical care and remains in hospital, where her condition is stable and under close observation by medical professionals. The priority at this time is her recovery and well-being.”

The statement from Makhadzi Entertainment, her company, requested for privacy.


“We respectfully request privacy for Makhadzi and her family during this period.”

Makhadzi, the energetic singer and dancer, has a history with Beitbridge where she would ride a Garicki to perform at Nuli with local DJ Mrex of Lutumba.

Then she was a rookie who was learning the ropes but commanded a following in rural Beitbridge responsible for sharpening her art.

Makhadzi, born on June 30, 1996, on her last packed show at Beitbridge openly declared the town as her second home.

Born at in Ha-Mashamba village, near Beitbridge, she easily connected with locals as she did her thing at a popular show venue.

Several Beitbridge residents wished the stocky energetic arist a speedy recovery.

“She must come back fast on stage, the New Year gig will not be the same,” said a fan Gloria Moyo.

The Haka Matirokisi powerhouse was on December 31, 2025, scheduled to perform in Johannesburg.
