Gospel crooner, Mambo Dhuterere has revealed he has not been feeling well for some time in a message posted on his Facebook social media account.
The popular musician, was trying to dispel social media rumours that he has joined the long list of musicians sending either cryptic or direct messages to controversial business man Wicknell Chivhayo to receive a vehicle.
Dhuterere , who did a jingle for the ruling party which was used in last year’s elections campaign trail said it will be ungrateful of him to even ask for a car as he had been ‘well taken care of’.
“l haven’t been feeling well for a while and they have been taking care of bills at home and hospital from three months before elections till now, which wasn’t part of the deal but from their hearts, ” said Dhuterere.
“Imagine receiving call from First Lady asking how are you? Come home for dinner when free, .messages from Sean and Collins, morning my brother, evening my brother, asking for a car will be so selfish,” he added.
The unknown sickness probably explains why the musician has been quiet judging by his usual vocal self especially on social media. He was plagued with an infidelity allegation late last year, an allegation that went viral prompting fans to speculate it as the reason why he had gone mum on social media.
The musician also revealed he received ten times more than what they had charged to the ruling party jingle and said Chivhayo and ZANU PF owes the musician nothing.
“Neither ZANU PF nor Sir Wicknell is owing us nothing, Giving us a car will be out of their own heart but not a must, I don’t think anyone from my team is complaining ( about not being recognised by Chivhayo).
Dhuterere post does not do much to dispel the rumour that he is angling for car from Chivhayo. Even though it might seem an appreciation message, it follows the trends of most musicians who have thus far received cars from Chivhayo. Nicholas Zakaria, Sniper Storm, Seh Calaz, all posted something and within days had received cars from the self-appointed benefactor.
