The Grand dad of Zimbabwean music, Nicholas Zakaria has become the latest artist to benefit from Wicknell Chivayo’s spending spree on artists. The legendary musician affectionately known as Senior Lecturer, for having nurtured so many prominent musicians , has received a 2024 Toyota Fortuner 2,8d GD6 4X4 luxury car from the controversial business man.
” I say a very big congratulations to my brother in Christ , no one none other than the “SENIOR LECTURER” himself, MADZIBABA NICHOLAS ZAKARIAH.Your letter in response to my post was well received with thanks and content thereof respectfully noted,” said the business man on his timeline.
According to Chivayo, the gift is in response to the senior Lecturer’s ‘ participation, continued support at ZANU PF and other NATIONAL events throughout the years together with the significant and remarkable contribution you’ve made in the music industry.
Chivhayo’s gesture comes after an earlier rant where he responded to a video in which the veteran musician was seen conversing with a fan, who is a mechanic. In the video the mechanic is heard saying after his contribution to the music industry, the veteran musician was deserving of a car.
Even though no mention of his name was made, Chivhayo took offence and ranted after perceiving the video to be a demand from Zakaria. However in a mature response, the veteran musician wished the business man well distancing himself from the perceived attempt to arm twist Chivhayo into giving him a car.
All has been forgotten and the flamboyant Chivhayo has done it again today, gifting the Grand dad of Zimbabwean music with a Toyota Fortuner.
