A Beitbridge man, believed a businessman in South Africa, followed his mistress to her parents home and killed her in circumstances fit only for fiction movies.

Mukosi Muthavhatsindi, 56, allegedly killed far much younger Forget Choeni at Nevious Lapisani Choeni’s homestead at Matshiloni village some 40 kilometres north of the border town of Beitbridge.

Muthavhatsindi, who is from Malala, near Beitbridge, last Friday at around 8:30am stabbed Choeni on the left breast with an Okapi knife and she died on the spot.

On Tuesday Muthavhatsindi appeared before resident magistrate Takudzwa Gwazemba who routinely remanded him in custody for two weeks.

No other particulars of the case were mentioned in his case.
