Denver Mukamba’s potential move to Scottland FC has hit a wall after newly appointed head coach Norman Mapeza reportedly blocked the transfer, firmly distancing the club from signing the former Dynamos midfielder.
On Facebook Dembare Dotcoms said Mukamba had attended a training session with Scottland FC this week, raising expectations that the club was finalizing a deal following his standout performance in Dynamos’ 3-1 win over Scottland late last year.
The club leadership was reportedly keen to bring him on board.
However, the mood changed drastically upon Mapeza’s arrival at the training ground. The veteran coach, known for his strict disciplinary standards, is alleged to have questioned Mukamba’s presence, saying: “Who is this guy and anodei pano? This is not Dynamos. Marasika here sekuru ibvai pano, isu hatiite zvemutoriro tinoita zvebhora,” in apparent reference to Mukamba’s off-field controversies.
Mukamba, who was reportedly wearing a Dynamos jersey, is said to have quietly left the venue following the coach’s remarks.
The midfielder had already made up his mind to leave Dynamos, but following the latest setback, it remains unclear where he will land next as the 2026 season approaches.
