The Central Region Soccer League Division One has had an exciting first 12 rounds of the season as debutants seem to be holding their own in the league, the battles for supremacy has already started taking centre stage, contenders separating themselves from pretenders. Exciting times are indeed ahead as the league marathon heads for match day 13.
In one of the notable fixtures this weekend, former Premier Soccer league side Sheasham will lock horns with ZRP Gwanda at Bata Stadium. The construction boys will be hoping to reclaim top spot after dropping points in their previous fixture, a 0-0 draw against Dulibadzimu United.
Suprose package and debutants Hard Rock FC will battle Grain Tigers FC at Baghdad, stadium as they look to cement at their place at the top and march towards making history in the Central Region Soccer League.
Competition is heating up with just one points in it between the Sheasham and debutants Hard Rock FC.
Another debutant Gwanda Pirates still have an unfinished business to attend to against Blanket Mine. Gwanda Pirates currently sit in 3rd position with 20 points making them favorites over Blanket Mine.
Bottom teams Bishopstone FC and Dimson Mvuma, who currently have 8 points each, will battle against each other at Mvuma.
Things haven’t been working for either Bishopstone, Midlands State University FC or Dimson Mvuma since the start of the season as they have struggled to eke out wins.
The Central Region Soccer League Division One table is an exciting one to look at with just 12 games played thus far. Competition is intense at both ends of the table.
