D.r Patrice Motsepe has been re-elected unopposed as president of the Confederation of African Football for a four year term at the 14th CAF Extraordinary General Assembly held in Egypt, yesterday.

Motsepe’s re-election comes after a first term widely praised for stabilizing CAF’s finances and boosting its global profile.

Following his re-election, President Motsepe highlighted that his aim to improve the football environment of the African Nations.

“The aim (for CAF) is to give every African nation $1million, starting around 2026/27, already they is $2. 5 million coming from FIFA every year, so we already have a $3.5millio which we can use to talk to banks or financing agencies, departments and partners to upgrade our stadiums in our countries,” CAF President Motsepe stated.

The African continent will looking forward to further developments in Motsepe ‘s second term following his massive impact in his first term, which include increasing prize money for major tournaments for CAF’s major tournaments.
