Kwekwe United have unveiled five new signings ahead of their Matchday 17 Central Region Soccer League Division One clash against Vhembe Stars Academy.

The club confirmed the arrivals of Oncemore Ururi, Alpha Dube, Gilbert Sibanda, Barnabas Mthuche, and Shelton Sibanda.

Kwekwe United secured the signature of central midfielder Barnabas Mthuche from Simba Bhora and attacking midfielder Gilbert Sibanda from Central Region Soccer League Division One rivals Gwanda Pirates, as they continue to build a competitive squad.

Prior to joining Kwekwe United, Gilbert Sibanda spent time on loan at Gwanda Pirates from Hard Rock FC at the start of the 2026 season. He has now finally found a new home after completing his move to Kwekwe United.

The team also strengthened their defence with the addition of key defenders, right back Shelton Sibanda, central defender Oncemore Ururi and left back Alpha Dube from Hard Rock FC.

The new signings bring valuable Premier Soccer League experience to bolster the defensive department.

Kwekwe United are securing the signatures of several prominent and promising talents to strengthen their squad as they look to maintain their winning momentum and return to the Premier Soccer League.

Rumours around Kwekwe United continues to grow, with the club alleged to looking to sign more players and build a formidable sqaud during the Central Region Soccer League Division One break.

The former Central Region Soccer League Division One champions are also set to take part in the Munhumutapa Challenge Cup Round of 32, where they will compete against elite Premier Soccer League giants.
