DISGRACED son of the late former Zimbabwean President Robert Mugabe Chatunga Bellarmine has been fine R400 000 and deported after his conviction on a charge of pointing a firearm.

On a second count, Mugabe was also found guilty of being in the country illegally and was fined R200 000 or sentenced to 18 months in prison in default of payment.

In a separate case, Tobias Matonhodze has been handed multiple prison terms after being convicted on four counts.

He received 12 months’ imprisonment on the first count, 12 months on the second count, three years on the third count, and a further 12 months on the fourth count.

The court ruled that all sentences will run concurrently.

Matonhodze will be deported after serving his sentence.
