THE National AIDS Council (NAC) Matabeleland South Province, in collaboration with First Mutual Health Beitbridge Clinic, will host a free wellness event aimed at improving access to healthcare services for residents in Beitbridge.

The wellness programme is scheduled for Friday, June 12, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM at First Mutual Clinic, located next to the Red Cross offices in Beitbridge.

According to the announcement, the initiative seeks to promote early disease detection, improve access to healthcare services, and empower communities with vital health information.

A range of free medical services will be available during the event, including general practitioner (GP) consultations, gynaecological consultations, eye screening, blood pressure, body mass index (BMI) and blood sugar testing, HIV counselling and testing, modern contraception and family planning education, as well as prostate cancer screening.

The programme forms part of ongoing efforts to encourage preventative healthcare and strengthen community wellness through increased awareness and access to essential health services.

The event is expected to benefit people of all ages by providing an opportunity to undergo routine health checks and receive professional medical advice at no cost.

Members of the public must take advantage of the initiative, it is an important step towards building healthier families and communities.
