Oakleigh House School scooped three awards at the at the 2026 Beitbridge Corporate and People’s Choice Awards held last Saturday, cementing its position as one of the leading educational institutions in the district.
The institution was crowned Nursery/Preschool of the Year 2025 and High School of the Year 2025, while its primary school division was named First Runner-Up for Primary School of the Year 2025.
Speaking after receiving the awards, Oakleigh House Head, Mrs Beauty Takaza, expressed gratitude for the recognition and credited the achievement to teamwork and dedication.
“I am glad to be a champion head with the support of my deputy, Mr Gwenya,” said Mrs Takaza.
The awards mark another milestone for Oakleigh House School, which has grown significantly since its establishment.
The institution began as Montessori Kindergarten in 2007 and evolved into a full-fledged primary school in 2009. It was co-founded by Dr Sikhathele Musakwa and her board of directors.
Dr Musakwa, a former teacher, has earned numerous prestigious national and international awards in recognition of her achievements as a businesswoman and educationist.
In 2022, the institution expanded its operations by opening a high school, which is now proudly registered with both the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) and the Cambridge Examination Boards.
Oakleigh House School has built a reputation for academic excellence, character development and community engagement.
